Here at Craft Hope, we love seeing all the ways that people embrace our projects. There are work groups for young and old. People (like me) are stashbusting all of those fun prints that we buy because they’re so cute but haven’t found a use for yet. Bonnie, over at fishsticksandfries is turning 40 soon. She has challenged herself to make 40 pillowcases in the 40 days before she turns 40. We’re blown away – not just by the thought of actually getting that much sewing in (while still making other cool stuff. I don’t think she sleeps), but by her willingness to embrace this milestone by giving of herself and her time and her stash to kids. Remarkable.
Bonnie, we are so grateful for your contributions and inspired by your dedication. Thank you.
I’d love to hear about more great pillowcase making stories, and hope to share a few of my own soon. Just as soon as that 5 month old baby lets me sit down at the machine for a while. Signing off for now. Sarah.

Wow! You’re an inspiration Bonnie!
I have finished 5 pillowcases so far, with fabric to make at least 3 or 4 more! I love this project am so excited to send mine to children who are so sick. It’s a privilege to give them one small thing to brighten their day. I went and made a few at my favorite local fabric store and met some really cool girls so that was an added bonus!
I delivered 55 pillowcases today.
